Good Afternoon!

I have been MIA (a common theme for me, it seems)...after my Dad's passing away, life has kind of taken new "routes"...and continues to do that...with different and new responsibilities and challenges to face.  I am kind of "coming up for air" finally and reviewing our Paint Puddles classes.  Right now I am considering a break for the summer...since the momentum has come to a halt anyway...and hopefully we can start again in the Fall, after school gets started, as we started last year.  Projects go well, around holidays..and of course Fall is a great season for great projects, followed by Christmas.  I would ask for you to keep checking this blog for updates...as of now..until further notice...there will be no summer classes.  Just so you KNOW...I miss all my little PUDDLERS and their Mom's and G-ma's too!!!!!!!

I got the samples done for May 7...a little treasure box for Mom or G-Ma!...you will craft a mini Mom on the top of the box and paint and embellish the box as you wish...tucked inside is a little Happy Mother's Day note!

Dear Puddlers!

As you know, my life has taken a "turn" with the death of my father, and thus there are many  new responsibilities on my plate for now.  I really want to continue with Paint Puddles and will attempt to do so.  I have been with my Mom this week, helping her with getting some things settled and getting out thank you notes for the many wonderful flowers and gifts given.  There will be many more visits to Forest City Iowa from now on!!!  I hope she will be able to join me in my home for several days too in the near future!

I am sending out this little "notice"...i hope to have a class this coming Monday (May 7) if a few of you respond.  I do not have my samples done, as I have not had time this week, or the last few weeks, for that matter...I plan to get them done this weekend..BUT what I can tell you is we will do a MOTHER"S DAY craft that will be appropriate for gifting!  I guess you will just have to trust me!!!  And i don't know how to get around the fact that mostly the MOTHER (you) will be there and you will know what you are getting..OR it can be for the G-ma"s!  :).........for you G-ma's.....that bring your little lovies...this will be perfect!!!!!!!  :)

I need you to respond as quickly as possible...if there are no responses I will not have class.  I like to let RJ know by Sunday night if he needs to set the classroom room up for me...so please take time and text, email or FB msg. me!  k???  :)

UPDATE

I have been delinquent in getting this blog updated!  I am very sorry! 
My father passed away this week, which causes me to have to cancel classes for at least the next two weeks.  I promise to update again and get a new schedule up and going.  Sorry for the inconvenience and interuption.  Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.  sandi.hixson@gmail.com

That's right!  Hodge Podge Day!....what is THAT???....you say.....well, it is a day of "leftovers"!...thus...HODGE PODGE!.....the above will be available...better speak for them...if you know for sure what you want to do...OR just come and choose from what is available!

I will have some "surprises" as well!!!!....so just let me know if you have a preference, so i am SURE to have enough product on hand...or just take a chance!!!

Again, as i said in the last email...please make your reservation with an email to me as soon as possible! (thanks :)  )

Oh, and btw...anything EASTER...can be changed to Spring messages....or anything you might think of...i will have various supplies on hand..and you can come up with your own creation if you want!...so i guess you could say...we will be SPRING CLEANING next Monday!...oops...i just reminded myself of how badly my habitation needs that...ugh....

New ideas are "buzzing" around my head for upcoming projects...and of course we will have Mother's Day projects and Father's Day coming!

One REALLY fun project is going to be a "stab" at ART, instead of crafting..i have a mixed media canvas project coming up..you won't want to miss it...we will probably do it at least a couple weeks..you can frame it in an 8x10 frame!  Move over Picasso!

April 2 Paint Puddles Class!

We have ONE more class before Easter...now you don't think we could do "this" holiday without a POT character, do you?   LOL

I just HAD to do some little pot bunnies, all dressed up for Easter Sunday, holding their announcement boards!

This week you have a choice from one of these bunnies..the little boy is dressed up with his bow tie..and the little girl has a cupcake wrapper dress!  Their ears are felt, i will have these pre-cut for you.  If you could see the backs (forgot to take a pic)...they have a fuzzy little bunny tail!  You can choose from many different colors and different ribbons and cupcake wrappers!  Of course..."some" of this is a little difficult..so between you and me...we will do the finishing touches after the kiddos do their expert painting techniques!

I also have a few bunny spoons left...

and we have plenty of Easter Pots left, with a clothespin to attach an Easter message.

As always..i really NEED to know HOW MANY OF WHAT you plan to do!!!! OH!..and also...i know this is being "picky"...but if at all possible...send me an email by Saturday or Sunday night!...OR EARLIER!...i know, i know...i am not getting this "up" until FRIDAY...so i DO understand a busy, interupted, hectic life!  Thanks ahead of time!

We had two new PP-ers this last week...so Becky (who brought them)...and each of her guests got each of their craft selections for $3.50 each!   YAY! 

I hope we can continue to grow..when we grow..i hope to add more hours/days!

Hey Puddlers!!!!!!!

As we "inch" closer to Easter , we continue with Easter projects and Spring projects!  But...HEY...where did SPRING GO???....uh....I, for one, happen to LOVE SPRING!...so I am rooting for the REAL SPRING to stand up!  How bout you???

This week will have another POT...the EASTER POT!.....I will have pre-printed messages for you to choose from to clip with your attached, painted and decorated clothespin!!!...OR...you can make your own message!!!  It's up to YOU!  This pot would be great for treats...or even a small plant!  Also a GREAT gift idea!!

I will also have picture frames if you wish, and will have our bunny spoons.  You MUST let me know your intentions, however, so I am sure to have enough supplies on hand!  So...in other words...your choices this coming Monday are as follows:...Easter pot....Bunny Spoons....or Picture frames....and of course...if you have time...the finger puppets will be there for the making, free of charge!!!
