Merry Christmas!

I would like to wish each of you a Merry Christmas, and thank you for your attendance and support for the first few months of Paint Puddles!  We have had a lot of fun and the kids have done so well!  I hope you have a wonderful time with your loved ones as we remember the birthday of Jesus!
We will not have class on the day after Christmas OR the day after New Year's.   I have some fun, wintry projects for January planned, as well as getting a head start on some fun Valentine crafts!
Keep reading this blog for updates and pictures of upcoming projects!
Blessings,
Sandi

Here we are!  In December!  I always feel like as soon as it gets here, it is OVER!  All the weekends are already booked...and I don't even have everything scheduled !  Well, I would like to invite you to come to our Paint Puddles class, it really is a time to unwind, kind of a therapy of sorts..the kids love it and the adults do too!  Everything we have to offer for this month not only makes great decor for your home, but great, small, inexpensive gifts as well!
..remember the REASON for the SEASON!

December is almost here!

Here at my house...i have set an all time record!  My tree is up before December!  In the past, we are almost always traveling for Thanksgiving.  This means that it is usually December when we get back home, exhausted and too un-organized to immediately get into decorating.  BUT this year, which actually wasn't exactly "my first choice" scenario...we did not travel, had few plans, though we did entertain dear friends (2)...so it was nice, quiet and done in one day!  SO...by Friday night the tree was up...by Saturday night it was completely, almost decorated!  I have to paint a few aqua ornies to "tie in" with the rest of the aqua i have added to the mix in my living room.  I still have lots of "touches"...and OF COURSE...the main event...my Nativity....has to go up still...anyhoo, that's what's happenin' at the Hixson's!....in the middle of it all..is all my PAINT PUDDLES stuff!!!  help!!!....have to dig ,get  that outta there today and ready for tomorrow!  Here is a little collage of our December projects...Please read the post before this for all information!  You can email me at:  sandi.hixson@gmail.com
Enjoy the season...remember the REASON!

Christmas Crafts

For our Christmas crafting sessions I will be offering the following for you to choose from.  You can decide what and how many you want to do on the following dates:
November 28, Dec. 5, Dec. 12, Dec. 19...so it is imperative you email me, letting me know your intentions...aka...WHAT you are doing, HOW MANY, DATES, and which session you will be attending sandi.hixson@gmail.com
As we did with the Thanksgiving Pilgrim set..if you do the entire Nativity set the price goes down a dollar for each piece...the platform is $3.00.  The total price is $22.50
I have listed under each picture what is in each "unit", OR for the cost of $7.50.
Remember, if you have several children, or have Grandma along...each craft accomplished within your family goes down a dollar...so if you have 3 people participating in a day...the cost would be $19.50, as opposed to 22.50.
The only thing this doesn't pertain to would be "sets" such as the Nativity...if you do the entire set, it is automatically discounted..the price will stay at $22.50/set.
I am adding an "extra" for Christmas!  If you would like any of these items for gifts, but do not have the time to participate in class to do them yourself, you may purchase them from me and I will do them for you.  (discounts not applicable)...so, the Nativity would be $22.50, finished for you, etc.
If you are at all interested in this please let me know asap.  I will not take any orders past Dec. 17th.  If this is something you are interested in please email me:sandi.hixson@gmail.com
I hope you are already enjoying the "bustle" of the season, remember to SLOW down, do only the IMPORTANT things, and be grateful!
blessings,
Sandi

Monday November 21st class!

Please email me at the above adddress if you plan to attend our Nov. 21st class!  Let me know which session you will be attending and what you plan to do!
I will have all the Christmas samples on Monday to show you!  I think you will be excited!  You may even want to do several and give them as gifts!  Remember, the more you do, the cheaper they get!  For each craft you do in one day, a dollar comes off the price...so if you do 3...7.50, 6.50, 5.50!!!...and so forth...you could even get down to FREE! :)
As soon as it is possible, I will get pics up of the projects...that "may" or "may not" happen this weekend! ;-)  Why don't you come to do the pilgrims and see them in person?  :)
Blessings!

November 14th....resuming our schedule!

I am back from 10 days in Atlanta for a family emergency.  I am thankful to report our little Ava, my granddaughter, is recovering from two surgeries due to a horse kick.  She is seven years old and we are so thankful that she is home and on her way to wellness.
We will be resuming our schedule on November 14th and 21st with our Pilgrim people.  I am also offering the Scarecrow Boy spoon at a reduced cost for those who would like to add him.  Some of you have requested to do the entire set in one day, and that will be fine.  I need you to reserve your spot (first or second session) and let me know how many and what you plan to do.   Please email me at:sandi.hixson@gmail.com
We will start our Christmas crafting on November 28th.  I am late on getting the samples done, due to my absence, but will have those done and pictured here soon!

Projects for Nov. 7th, 14th, 21st

It is SO fun to start the HOLIDAY crafting!  This is just the beginning!  Wait til you see the Christmas stuff!  I am excited!  The kids will have so much fun!  I hope you will get lots of ideas, and maybe want to make MORE for gifts!  How great to give home-made gifts!  I love a Christmas tree with home-made ornaments too!  This little Pilgrim couple and Tommy the Turkey were so fun!  They might look hard..but honestly, i break the steps down and you will be surprised how the kids will be able to do it, as well as the adults!  I also added a little platform for this little "trio"...so you can set it on your Thanksgiving table or buffet!   Sign up using my email:    sandi.hixson@gmail.com  Let me know WHEN you are attending, and HOW MANY will be participating!
Blessings,
Sandi

Projects for Paint Puddles

This collage pictures the October projects!  We have had so much fun so far.  We started on Oct. 17th with the pumpkin pot.  The kids loved it and did so well.  This week we did the "three pumpkin on a fence"...everyone had their own interpretation of how it should look!  All were adorable!  When i get my "act" together i will get more pictures of the kid's projects!  I have November projects done and photographed, will get them up tomorrow (hopefully)  Please feel free to leave comments, questions or ideas!
