January 30 Paint Puddles!

We will be "wrapping" it up on our Valentine and winter projects on the 30th!  I will be out of town (yes, visiting my lovies in ATL) for the first 2 weeks in February..therefore NO CLASS Feb. 6th and Feb. 13th.  Isn't it nice, however, to have your Valentine projects/decorations done???  The kids have done such a great job...you know, i take my camera to capture their darling projects...then forget to take pictures!  UGH!  But if you are a regular atender, you KNOW, things get a "little" lot hectic!  (BIG smile inserted here)

OH!  and btw....the paper valentines in the pic above are available for the kiddos to do...for free!!!!  We have coloring pages with Valentine themes for them to do for free also...the little clothespin clippies are in a unit of 3...you paint the clothespin whatever color you choose, and the little square will be painted with black chalkboard paint...i have magnet backs available if you want them! Feel free to come for the FREE STUFF...just come for valentine making...no cost to you!

I want to thank those of you who come week after week, or almost..it is a great encouragement to me  and i hope to you as well! 

When we start up again on Feb.20th...we will be thinking SPRING thoughts...freshness and all that good stuff!  I have a MARCH SPECIAL on the horizon as well!  For the first 2 weeks in March, if you bring a visitor who has not attended previously, you both will get the class for half price (no discounts)....so  each unit project will cost $3.75 for you and your visitor/and kids.

So....see you on Monday, and as always...shoot me an email, telling me what project you want to do, and which time slot you will be attending!

January 23rd Class

Hey, Paint Puddles Friend!  Well, winter has returned to the midwest..and while i have visions of hearts and valentines in my head..now the penguins and snowman spoons are really more in order!  All will be available this week..but as you know.. you really MUST let me know what you intend to do, just to be sure i have all the correct materials!...email:sandi.hixson@gmail.com

We have had a couple new families and that gives me great joy and hopes of continuing growth!  I hope you love it enough so you don't want to miss out!  We really do have fun!  It gets a little hectic, and i thank you for your patience in some cases! :)

Above is pictured the "new and improved" pot of hearts, plus the little cupcake girl..her dress is cupcake liners..i was must "messing" around and came up with her...IF you are interested in her, please, please let me know...because i do not have all materials currently on hand.

This week we will have materials for the kiddos to make as many valentines as they want(for free)...but also adding our little blackboard clippies as a unit of 3.  I will have magnetic strip available for fridge magnets...but, as always..please let me know of your intentions!!!!

We will , of course, meet this Monday and on Jan. 30th, then there will be no class until   Feb. 20th.  I will be visiting my kids and g-kids in ATL for the first 2 weeks in Feb.!

January 16th class!

We had a GREAT time last Monday...with some new faces..how fun!  This week ALL projects are available..SO..please let me know what you are going to be doing, so I can be prepared for you! You might want to think about making the Valentine Kids to give as a gift(s)!..remember my discount when you do several projects at a time!

I have a "promotion" idea for the month of March to soon tell you about!  So stay tuned! :)..oh!..and be sure to let me know which time slot you will be attending..Morning 11am-2pm  OR  Afternoon 3pm-5pm!  Thank you again!

Welcome to 2012!

Here we are!  Another NEW YEAR!  It seems the older I get, the faster they go!  Strange, huh?  Well, onto our new projects for this month of January!  I will post the pictures of the projects.  Under each picture is the information and dates.  If you are new to this site..please read the information at the top of the page, the right hand side of the page and at the very bottom of the page!  I hope to see many new faces this year!

One other thing...I will be making a trip to Atlanta to see my kids and g-kids....so February 6th and Feb. 13th we will not have class.  We will resume classes on Feb. 20th...more to be posted for that later.  As you can see in the pictures, we WILL be ready for Valentine's Day, however!  I hope you enjoy our crafts this month!  I hesitated to do "winter" projects (penguins and snowmen) because here in Des Moines, Iowa..we have NO SNOW!  In fact we have record high temps off and on!  Nevertheless..we will have a choice of 2 "WINTER" projects for you..then ON TO SPRING and VALENTINE"S DAY!!!...I "may" have another choice for Valentine's Day..but do not have it coordinated quite yet!

Merry Christmas!

I would like to wish each of you a Merry Christmas, and thank you for your attendance and support for the first few months of Paint Puddles!  We have had a lot of fun and the kids have done so well!  I hope you have a wonderful time with your loved ones as we remember the birthday of Jesus!

We will not have class on the day after Christmas OR the day after New Year's.   I have some fun, wintry projects for January planned, as well as getting a head start on some fun Valentine crafts!

December!

Here we are!  In December!  I always feel like as soon as it gets here, it is OVER!  All the weekends are already booked...and I don't even have everything scheduled !  Well, I would like to invite you to come to our Paint Puddles class, it really is a time to unwind, kind of a therapy of sorts..the kids love it and the adults do too!  Everything we have to offer for this month not only makes great decor for your home, but great, small, inexpensive gifts as well! 

..remember the REASON for the SEASON!

December is almost here!

Here at my house...i have set an all time record!  My tree is up before December!  In the past, we are almost always traveling for Thanksgiving.  This means that it is usually December when we get back home, exhausted and too un-organized to immediately get into decorating.  BUT this year, which actually wasn't exactly "my first choice" scenario...we did not travel, had few plans, though we did entertain dear friends (2)...so it was nice, quiet and done in one day!  SO...by Friday night the tree was up...by Saturday night it was completely, almost decorated!  I have to paint a few aqua ornies to "tie in" with the rest of the aqua i have added to the mix in my living room.  I still have lots of "touches"...and OF COURSE...the main event...my Nativity....has to go up still...anyhoo, that's what's happenin' at the Hixson's!....in the middle of it all..is all my PAINT PUDDLES stuff!!!  help!!!....have to dig ,get  that outta there today and ready for tomorrow!  Here is a little collage of our December projects...Please read the post before this for all information!  You can email me at:  sandi.hixson@gmail.com
